Veo Camera Costs, Subscription Tiers, Addons & Accessories: A Comprehensive Price Breakdown

Welcome to our comprehensive guide on Veo camera costs, including hardware subscription tiers, addons, and accessories—a complete price breakdown for your game development, player development, and fan engagement needs. When it comes to cameras, we know it's important for you to make the right investment for your club or team. Whether you're a dedicated club official, proud parent, or generous team sponsor, Veo cameras have emerged as a game-changing technology that revolutionizes the way we capture and analyze sports matches. In this post, we'll take you through all of the options available and the choices that you need to make.

A word on the Camera.

The Veo Cam 2 is the 2nd generation of Veo's and is the only one in production by Veo at the time of writing this post. In comparison to the old Veo 1 you can notice vastly improved image quality from two 4K cameras capturing 180 degree field of view, the whole field is captured setting it apart from competitors that have cameras that physically move to track and if they miss the action so do you. The other big difference is that the Veo 2 has a super powerful Nvidia superchip meaning that game processing can be done on the fly making games available to watch back instantly and making live streaming possible.

Great so you've decided on a Veo, What subscription do you need?

In order to use your Veo camera you'll need a subscription which will give you access to the Veo editor and other tools, this is where the two separate camera feeds are stitched together and then some AI wizardry turns everything into a watchable game that tracks the action as if there was a cameraman there the whole game pulling the strings. This is also where you can decide not to look at the action and see what was going on elsewhere - for example you might want to look at if the defensive line kept their shape during an attacking phase of play.

Veo have three main subscription tiers and also the ''Starter'' tier which is really only useful for private owners such as players / parents or perhaps very small social teams. The ''Starter'' tier whilst the cheapest should only be considered for occasional use of the camera and not for teams or clubs as it comes without a lot of core functionality.

Tier Teams Users Recording Hours Storage
Starter* 1 15 10 per month 3 months
Team 1 30 40 per month Unlimited
Club 5 150 200 per month Unlimited
Enterprise 20 600 600 per month Unlimited

*The Starter has limited access to the Veo editor which includes the following features: Control the view, Create highlights, Tag players and comment, Create player profile, Download highlights, Event timeline and Social sharing.

Team, Club and Enterprise tiers have Unlimited access to the Veo Editor, which includes the following features: Control the view, Create highlights, Tag players and comment, Create player profile, Download highlights, Event timeline, Social sharing, Event detection, Journal, Drawing tools and Download match.

Sportino's verdict? Club Tier! - The majority of clubs / schools that we deal with opt for the Club tier it offers the best balance of recording hours and users, as well as Teams to keep your games and players segmented.

Live Streaming?

Live Streaming

Veo Live allows you the ability to live stream games to the VeoLive app in realtime anyone can download the VeoLive app for free and watch your games on Apple and Android devices. Veo are investigating integrations with platforms such as YouTube and Facebook and are adding new features all the time.

For live streaming you'll need to addon the Veo Live addon the price of this is linked to your base subscription and is not available for Starter tiers.

What Tripod?

You have options of 7.3 and 3.8 meter tripods, as both tripods do not need to be fully extended the 7.3 meter gives you a lot more options and its what we recommend.

Accessories?

If your going to be travelling a lot its best to consider some bags and cases for your Veo and Tripod. A hard travel case protects the Veo and a tripod bag makes it much easier to transport around and take through Airports. We recommend a 190cm Ski bag.
